The history of the Astra tells of semi-automatic pistols from the 1920s for almost 40 years. This story only speaks of successful products such as the Model 300, Model 900 and 902 (evolutions of the Mauser C96), which were adopted by several armies, including the Chinese in more than 30,000 units, up to the Model 400, a legendary weapon. This model was exported around the world to tenths of the armies. At that time, Astra was one of the largest European firearms manufacturers. In 1959 he started a new legend for Astra with the Cadiz revolvers. This model was the first in a long line of successful Astra revolvers that you might still find in a gun store...or your dad might have told you about it. From the end of World War II until 1998, Astra manufactured millions of guns for governments and sport shooters. Astra guns were sold on the commercial market wherever firearms were permitted. Augusto Unceta, our personal friend and owner of the company, from whom all the leaders of Astra of the new era were inspired, was killed in 1977 by the Basque terrorist organization (ETA).
